Let's Discuss

Salmon, Sweet Potato & Watercress Salad with Turmeric Cream

sweet potato salad with salmon watercress and turmeric cream

Dietary Compliance: gluten-free, dairy-free, paleo, AIP.

Today’s recipe comes from one of my favorite recipe bloggers, Kate Jay, of Healing Family Eats. Kate is a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, Certified AIP Coach, trained chef and author of the eBook, Healing Eats: 25 Recipes to Heal the Gut while Soothing the Soul. She specializes in creating recipes for those following the Autoimmune Protocol, in addition to other healing diets such as GAPS and SCD.

This make-ahead entree salad takes an AIP twist on an old classic. Kate uses white sweet potatoes– a great replacement for regular potatoes, which are members of the nightshade family and can cause inflammation in some people.

GET THE RECIPE

When I was first starting down the thyroid-healing path I came across Kate’s stand-out recipes on Autoimmune Wellness.  As someone who loves food and was not willing to accept a life of frumpy meals that are too focused on restriction (and not enough on YUM), I became an instant fan. That’s why I feel so lucky today to be working with Kate, and to call her one of my valued online friends and fellow health-oriented cooks.

Kate has created some dynamite anti-inflammatory, high-nutrition recipes for my new online home: Thyroid Refresh™. If you haven’t stopped by to see what I’ve been up to, please, please do. I’ve been working hard to create the support system I wish I had back when I began my quest for better health, so you don’t want to be out of the loop on this one!

My co-founder, Danna Bowman (of Thyroid Nation) and I have created a living lifestyle magazine for thyroid patients. As two thyroid patients who know what it’s like to live a thyroid-friendly lifestyle, we wanted to create a place for others who were ready to feel better, and had information on WHAT to do, but were missing the critical support piece of HOW to do it.

Thyroid Refresh™ features the recipes you know and love from Hypothyroid Chef, and SO MUCH MORE!
